The region
Stuttgart is the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg. With more than 630.000 inhabitants it is the sixth-largest city in Germany. The region and the city are one of Germany’s largest metropolitan areas. It is also the seat of the state government and the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg as well as numerous state authorities. In addition, the city is an important business location and financial centre. It is known as the home of the German automobile companies Daimler and Porsche. Stuttgart’s cityscape is characterized by the Neckar River, vineyards, valleys, green spaces, art, culture and various attractions. It is a young, sustainable region where life pulsates.
The hotel
During LEF you will stay at the Maritim Hotel Stuttgart. The hotel is a 4-star hotel right in the heart of Stuttgart. It was renovated in 2016 and features 3 restaurants, a café and a piano bar, as well as a spa with swimming pool, sauna, beauty and wellness treatments and a fitness room. During your stay you can perfectly relax in one of the comfortable rooms and enjoy the full LEF experience.
Travel information
For us Leos, sustainability and the careful treatment of our nature is an important topic. In Germany, Lions and Leos support the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. That’s why we as the orga team have decided to install a flight compensator on this website and to collect money for a sustainable compensation project. In the spirit of the international Leo4Green Activity we would appreciate if everyone would contribute by either travelling by train, compensating their flight, or donating to our project if possible.
Take a(n) (international) train to Stuttgart central station (Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart). From there a shuttle bus will bring you to the hotel. The Hotel is only 1,5 km or 18 minutes walk from the central station.
The hotel is located at Seidenstraße 34, 70174 Stuttgart, Germany. An underground car park is available at the hotel.
Take a flight to Stuttgart airport. We will provide a transportation possibility for you. The airport is only 14 km away from the hotel.
